Welcome To Alicat Designs Hi, I’m Alexis Matus creator and designer of Alicat Designs.  Let me tell you a bit about how it all started. Alicat Designs was born out of my desire to give my nephew something truly unique when I was asked to be his godmother. On the occasion of his baptism I decided to do something I have never done and made him a rosary. Once I made that first rosary people began asking me to make them as special gifts for those they love.  I feel particularly blessed that my rosaries have traveled around the world and have comforted and supported those in their times of need. From the rosaries, I branched out to jewelry.  I have always loved antique jewelry and they are often my design inspiration.  My goal is to design jewelry that brings a smile to your face.  Knowing that my work has made someone feel special inspires me to keep designing. My Paintings and Artwork While in college, I studied Art History and traveled to Spain to continue my studies.  It was during my time in Europe that I began painting.  Being surrounded by the world’s most beautiful artwork inspired me to pick up a paintbrush and create my own pieces.  I have continued my work in oils and watercolors and am constantly challenging myself to capture the beauty in my life on my canvases. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy presenting it to you.
